American boxer George Foreman died on Friday (March 21) at the age of 76. Foreman won a gold medal at the Mexico Olympics in 1968. Foreman also competed with Muhammad Ali in ‘Rumble in the Jungle’. George Foreman won heavyweight gold medal at the age of 19.
George Foreman’s family confirmed his death through his social media account. After becoming a professional boxer, Foreman won 37 consecutive matches in Kingston, Jamaica before facing Fragier. He defeated Frasier by technical knockout after two rounds. Foreman is known for the 1974 famous ‘Rumble in the Jungle’, where he lost his first title to the great Muhammad Ali.

Foreman successfully defended his title twice before facing Muhammad Ali in Kinshasa, Zaire (now Congo Democratic Republic), which became one of the most reputed matches in the history of boxing. After his death, his family paid tribute to him on Instagram, and praised his performance in the world of dedication and boxing to the family.
He remained active even after retiring in the 1990s.
