Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway, conducted a detailed safety inspection of the Igatpuri-Manmad section on Bhusaval Division on December 19, 2024.

The inspection commenced from Curve no. 10 and minor Bridge no. 153/2 on the Ghoti-Padli section and LC gate no. 84F on the Lahavit-Devlali section.

Further detailed measurements of Turn Out no. 129B (Up direction) was carried out at kms 152/25 – 153/23 in addition to inspection of Sandhump (129A) and Switch Expansion Joint (SEJ) no. 15 on Long Welded Rails (LWR).

At Devlali station, the General Manager visited the Circulating area, Goods Shed, and stalls of various departments.

*Devlali is the 1st green station of Bhusaval division. Electrified in 1977, it has connected load of 103 KW. A 91 KWP Solar Rooftop Power plant generating 1.32 lakh units annualy has been installed. This Solar plant will reduce emission of 100 MT of carbon dioxide.

The station now hosts a unique coach depicting the artefacts of history in the form of “Panchavati Railway Sangrahalaya”.

Further Meena inspected the Track Machine siding and Gang Hut Unit no. 7 and interacted with the Gangmen regarding the actual practices being followed and instructed them to ensure safety of trains and their own while working.

At Nashik Road station, the General Manager inspected the Station and Circulating area. He also inspected the Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) and the Over Head Equipment (OHE) Depot followed by the new renovated Meeting Room. Meena also reviewed the preparations being made for Nashik Kumbh Mela-2027

Meena carried out a detailed inspection of the Godawari Bridge (BR-193/1) on the Nashik-Odha section, examining various parameters followed by a High Speed Run on the 36 kms stretch between Odha and Lasalgaon stations.

At Lasalgaon station, the General Manager inspected the Traction Substation and Goods Shed

Meena also inspected the Limited Height Subway (LHS) -112 on the Sumit-Manmad section and advised to ensure that vehicles do not face any difficulty during rainy season.

At Manmad Station, the General Manager paid a visit to the Crew lobby, Running rooms, Signal & Telecom training centre, TTE rest house and Railway Staff Colony.

The General Manager inspected the on going works under the Amrit Station Scheme at Devlali, Lasalgaon and Manmad stations and advised to complete passenger amenities related works on priority.

The General Manager interacted with public representatives at various locations and held discussions with union representatives to address various concerns.

He also engaged with ground-level staff throughout the inspection, emphasizing the importance of safe train operations and operational efficiency.

He interacted with various media representatives at Nashik and Manmad and satisfactorily replied to their queries with detailed information about various infrastructure upgradation works and passenger amenities.

Ity Pandey, Divisional Railway Manager, Bhusaval, Principal Head of Departments and Senior Officers from Headquarters and Bhusaval Division accompanied during the inspection.
