Dharam Veer Meena, General Manager, Central Railway, conducted an inspection of the Daund-Solapur section on Solapur Division on December 13, 2024.
The inspection commenced with the General Manager inspecting amenities provided at Daund station, including the Cover Over Platform(COP) and the sealing of the COP for water proofing.
The General Manager later conducted a detailed inspection of Bridge No. 301/2-3 on the Bhigwan and Jinti Road section and Curve No. 31 along with OHE parameters.
He reviewed the use of H-beams on bridges for future planning of high-speed tracks up to 130 kmph and appreciated the implementation of anti-theft mechanisms, including ‘Saper’ nuts to replace split pin nuts for added safety.
Meena also advised all concerned to ensure that the parameters are maintained within prescribed limits always. Meena also visited Gang no 3 & 4 and interacted with the Gangmen regarding the service conditions and instructed them to ensure safety of trains and their own while working.
At Jeur, the General Manager inspected the Station, Circulating area, GSU works and Electronic Interlocking. He also visited exhibition stalls of various departments.
At Kurduwadi the General Manager inspected the Circulating area, Goods Shed and the ongoing works under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Meena also inspected LC gate no 40 on the Wadsinge-Madha section and took note of the maintenance practises followed for OHE also.
The General Manager inspected Traction Power Substation and Railway Staff Colony at Mohol and also inspected Road Under Bridge- 5, OHE 434/26-28 on the Mundhewadi and Pakni section.
At Solapur Station, the General Manager inspected ongoing works under the Amrit Station Scheme. He also inspected various passenger amenities and expressed satisfaction regarding the facilities provided.
Meena also visited the Divisional Railway Hospital, Solapur where he dedicated to the employees, the Hospital Management Information Service (HMIS) system.
The General Manager interacted with public representatives at various locations and held discussions with union representatives to address various concerns.
He also engaged with ground-level staff throughout the inspection, emphasizing the importance of safe train operations and operational efficiency.
He also interacted with various media representatives and satisfied their queries with detailed information.
