The two-day match between General Education Academy and IES New English School ended in a draw. General Education took the fist innings lead in the Giles Shield Super League match at Air India Ground on Tuesday. Batting first, General Education posted 161 in 55.2 overs. Harsh Vachhani top scored with 58. Medium pacer Yaksh Salvi picked (4-19) in 9.2 overs. IES in reply were bundled out for just 122 runs in 48.5 overs during their first innings. During their second innings, General Education declared at 113-5 in 27 overs. Coming out to chase down their total, IES New English made 72-6 in 24 overs at the end of day 2. Sparsh Gholap picked (3-32) in nine overs while Siddhant Desai grabbed (3-12) in five overs.

Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar made 229 in 68.1 overs against VK Krishna Menon Academy on the first day of the third round match at Karnataka Sporting, Cross Maidan. Left-handed batter Sanmit Kothmire made 87 while number six batter, Advit Tiwari also contributed with 87 runs. Medium pacer Arin Keluskar snapped an eight-wicket haul, (8-35) in 20.1 overs. At the end of day 1, VK Krishan Menon were 5-0 in 2 overs.

Dnyandeep Seva Mandal posted 339 in 65.4 overs against Swami Vivekanand International School (SVIS), Gorai at Jolly Gymkhana on Tuesday. Anuj Chaudhary made a brilliant 101 off 112 deliveries, with 20 fours and one six. The hard-hitting batter, Anuj, took his chances well and was rewarded with a big score. Opener Atharva Kalel made 56, aced with 12 boundaries as well, adding to the team’s tally.

Left arm spinner Avdhut Rawool grabbed a six-fer in 19 overs. He struck at crucial intervals in the match picking up the wickets of key batters. In reply, coming out to chase down the total, SVIS posted 106-0 in 21 overs as Harshit Bobade made unbeaten 76 at stumps.

Defending champions Modern English School (MES) Chembur were 146 all out in 57.4 overs against RR Education Trust English High School at Bombay High Court, Oval Maidan. Rajvardhan Jadhav top scored with 56 for MES. Left arm spinner Advait Joshi snapped up a four-wicket haul, (4-41) in 16.4 overs. Shaurya Navale and Medh Daiya also picked three wickets each. In reply, RR Education Trust were precariously placed at 49-4 in 19 overs. Yash Sagvekar remained unbeaten on 18. Nishad Parab was amongst the wickets, with (3-19) in nine overs.
