General Education Academy, Chembur qualified for the Giles Shield Super League Stage after beating Al-Barkaat MMI English School by 72 runs at High Court, Oval Maidan on Wednesday.
Brilliant batting performances from opening batters Aarush Kohle (85) and Shardul Fagare (71) helped the Chembut side pile up on a high score of 315/3 including 13 penalty runs. Sparsh Gholp made 41, while Ishan Pathak and Devansh Ghodke contributed handy knocks of 40 each. Aditya Pandey snapped two wickets. In reply, Al-Barkaat finished with 244-8 in their 45 overs. Medium pacer Yash Salunkhe picked a three-wicket haul, (3-32) in his eight overs.
GEA Academy joined defending champions Modern English School, Chembur in the last eight.
RR Educational Trust Mulund also qualified for the Super League by beating Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English High School by two wickets at Govt. of Law, Oval Maidan.

Right arm medium pacer and Man of the Match Medh Daiya bowled well for his four-wicket haul, (4-21) in eight overs including three maidens. Youngster Medh was on fire with the ball picking key wickets in the process. In reply, RR Educational Trust went passed the finish line after being in a spot of bother at 60-7. The finally finished with 100-8 in 30 overs. Aarav Yadav and Aman Yadav snapped two wickets apiece.
