General Education Academy won their encounter on first innings lead against Anjuman-I-Islam Urdu in the Super League match of Harris Shield MSSA U-16 cricket tournament at Bombay Gymkhana on Friday.

Chasing 357, Anjuman Urdu were bundled out for a paltry 150 runs in 43.1 overs in the first innings on the second day. Vinayak Chaurasiya top scored with 68.

Enforced with a follow on, Anjuman team finished on 209-7 in 47 overs. Aamir and Vinayak both smashed half centuries. Right arm off spinner Harsh Nadkar was the star with the ball grabbing (3/54). Man of the Match Ayush Shinde had scored 208 runs on the first day and Ishan Pathak unbeaten 116 for GE Academy.

At MIG Bandra, Modern English School Chembur won their match on first innings lead against Al Barkaat MMI Kurla. Modern English scored 293 runs in 89.5 overs as Pranav Iyengar scored 73 and Kanav Saini made 58. Left arm spinner Nitesh Nishad grabbed 4/74 and Wali Sayyed snapped up 3/68. In reply, Al Barkaat posted 162 all out in 52 overs as Prithvi Bhalerao made 57 runs in 68 balls with 11 fours. Off spinner Jasmit Singh picked a three-wicket haul, left arm spinner Vihaan Jobanputra also grabbed 3/39. They the end of the day they finished with 67-4 in 20 overs, Yash Singh contributed 41 in 39 balls. On the other hand, Vivaan Jobanputra took (4-19).

Anjuman-I-Islam Allana English drew their game with Parag English School at Sachivalaya Gymkhana. Anjuman made 273 all out in 78.3 overs with Yuvraj Bhingare top scoring with a 96 in 138 balls while Shahid Khan contributed a gritty knock of 55 runs. Medium pacer Vansh Chumble shone with the ball with 3/18, Neeraj Dhumal grabbed 3/65. During their first innings, Parag English School managed 248-8 in 80 overs where Samridh Bhat made 100 in 185 balls, Arnav Sonawane also made 57 runs in 70 deliveries. Abdurrahman was the pick of the bowlers, with (4-78).

Dnyandeep Seva Mandal beat Matunga Premier School on first innings lead at Matunga Gymkhana. Batting first, Dnyandeep Seva Mandal made 216 all out in 65 overs. Varadraj Desai made 49 not out, Virat Yadav contributed 39 not out 45, and Sachin Yadav made 31. The Matunga outfit were bundled out for 155 in 48.2 overs. Kushal Patil top scored with 41. Left arm spinner Zaid Khan snapped up (4/34), Off spinner Virat Yadav also picked a four-wicket haul. Batting in their second innings, Dnyadeep declared at 120-7 in 15.4 overs. While Matunga Premier managed 162/4 in 23 overs. Dev Pawar and Shaurya Gaikwad scored 31 and 74 respectively.
