Bilaspur: Passengers at Gataura railway station in the Bilaspur division of South East Central Railway can now book tickets entirely online. The station has introduced a 100% digital ticketing system through Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs), allowing travelers to get their tickets quickly without waiting in queues.
Railway staff are assisting passengers in using ATVMs and educating them about the UTS mobile app for ticket booking and online payments. With the system, passengers can make cashless transactions using smart cards, QR codes, and UPI, eliminating issues related to carrying exact change.
The initiative is part of the Digital India campaign and aims to make ticketing more efficient and convenient. The railway administration has urged passengers to adopt digital ticketing for a smoother travel experience.
