A shocking incident has taken place in Pune. The police have busted a gang that was using a gay dating app to cheat and rob people. It is learnt that this gang has cheated more than 50 youths so far.

Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad have reported multiple cases where people have been attacked, blackmailed, sexually abused and robbed by individuals they met on various gay dating apps.

As per the report by Saam, the police have arrested a total of four people in this case. The team of Bundgarden Police Station is conducting further investigation in this case. The police have also warned people to be careful.

This gang first got acquainted with a youth from the Pimpri area through a gay dating app. After that, this gang would call the youths to RTO Chowk, Mangalwar Peth area. Then they would beat them up and rob them. It is learnt that they have cheated more than 50 youths so far.

The gang recently tried to lure a youth into their net through a gay dating app. They called him, snatched his debit card, mobile phone, and car keys. After taking the PIN number of the debit card, the accused are said to have withdrawn Rs 9,500 from the ATM.

After this, the youth was severely beaten. After this incident, the youth showed courage and ran directly to the police. Based on the complaint filed by the youth, the police have arrested all the four accused. The names of the accused are Wajid Razzak alias Lalsaheb Sheikh (age 19), Mehebub alias Ghaus Javed Sheikh (age 20), Srinivas alias Shinu Vyakappa Nayak (age 22), and Sohail Gafur Sheikh (age 24), all residents of Mangalwar Peth. A team from Bundgarden Police Station is investigating this case.
