Gujarat Titans and Indian team fast bowler Mohammad Siraj welcomed the decision to lift the ban on the use of saliva in the upcoming session of IPL and said that it would help the bowlers to reverse swing even at the beginning of the match. This is good news for bowlers, especially fast bowlers. Applying saliva on the ball will increase the chances of reverse swinging the ball to some extent. Rubbing the ball on jersey does not help much, but saliva can keep the ball shiny from one side and it is important.
Siraj, who was purchased by Gujarat Titans after the release of Royal Challengers Bangalore before the Mega auction held last year, said, “I am excited to play under the captaincy of the new captain Shubman Gill.” There is a very good feeling about the new session.
