After winning the ICC Champions Trophy, players of the Indian cricket team will play against various teams in the IPL for the next two months.

The league starts from 22 March and hardly any international series will be played during this period. After the mega auction, a new cycle is starting in which many top stars will play for new teams and most of the franchisees have also announced that they will take the field with the new captain.

The Indian team will start the 2025-27 World Test Championship with a five-match Test series against England. India will try to win the Pataudi Trophy after a long gap of 18 years as he lost by a very small margin in 2021-22. This series can also prove to be a new beginning in red ball cricket for the country. India’s second major target is 2026 T20 World Cup, which is to be played on Indian soil in February and March next year. Sri Lanka is also a joint host of this event. The Indian team will play nine Test matches and 12 ODIs in the next 12 months. Apart from the Asia Cup and T20 World Cup, the team captained by Suryakumar Yadav will also play 18 other T20 matches.

The Indian team will play five Test matches in England from 21 June to 4 August, three ODIs in Bangladesh and three T20 matches in August and Asia Cup in September. India will host the West Indies for two Test matches in October. Bhatt will then tour Australia in October and November, where he will play three ODI and five-match T20 series. The South African team will visit India for two Tests, five ODIs and five T20 matches in November and December. Gambhir’s most difficult exam will start with England tour

The Indian team will start their next two -year tour with the tour of England. Coach Gambhir’s guidance and coaching are expected to have major changes in the next two important years. After the IPL, Gambhir will have no time to prepare for the tour of England. Apart from this, the T20 World Cup to be played in early 2026 will also prove to be the biggest challenge.
