Former Chennai Super Kings captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni said that if he does not take responsibility behind the stump, he will feel waste on the field because he considers the game better while wicketkeeping.

He played for another franchise, when the team was suspended from the tournament in two sessions. He took the team to five titles and 10 finals.

Dhoni said that if I do not do wicketkeeping, then I feel useless on the field because with this position I can understand the game better. it’s a challenge. My franchise allows me to play as long as I want. I love cricket so I will play only once a year.

Regarding handing over the captaincy to Rituraj Gaikwad, Dhoni said that during the season many people had speculated that I was taking decisions but the reality is that 99 percent of the decisions were taken by Rituraj. Various decisions, including changes in bowling and fielding, were his. I was just helping him. He has given inspirational leadership to the players.
