There is a big news for Kanpur city! A tremendous plan has been made to prepare the city for the future. Kanpur Development Authority (KDA) has prepared a complete blueprint called ‘Vision Document 2051’, which includes 105 big projects for the development of the city. KDA is now sending this plan to the Municipal Corporation, NHAI (National Highway Authority) and other connected departments so that their opinion can also be taken. After getting the green signal from there, it will be sent to the government for final approval.
What is the attention of?
While making these plans, future needs have been taken care of. It is estimated that by the year 2051, the population of Kanpur can increase to about 78 lakhs. So, how to live for such a large population, good means (transport), better connectivity (connectivity) and most important, how will employment opportunities be created-this entire vision document has been prepared only keeping these things in mind.
Another big out ring road will be built!
One of the biggest things of this plan is to create a new ‘Outer Ring Road’ around the city. Let us tell you that a 93 km long ring road is being built right now, but KDA is also preparing to build another new outer ring road of about 124 kilometers longer than 30 kilometers.
Where will this new ring road be built?
This 124 km long new outer ring road will start from Chaubepur and will go to Achalganj of Unnao via Bhisar, Bidhanu. Not only this, two new bridges with four-lane bridges will also be built above the Ganges river on this new ring road. Apart from this, there is also a plan to build two more bridges on the Ganges. Meaning, connectivity around the city will be excellent!
Roads will also be wide and 6-lane will be made
In view of the increasing population and traffic, there are plans to widen many important roads inside the city and make 6-lanes. This includes some main roads:
-
The road from Panki Tirahe to Kalyanpur will be 6-lane.
-
The Chaubepur-Bithur-Munighat road will be widened.
-
The Bhaunti-Reripur road will be made four-lane.
-
Ramadevi-Sarasaul Road will be 6-lane.
Overall, this vision document of KDA is a major step to make Kanpur a modern and convenient city according to future needs.
