National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit 03 of Kanya Gurukul Haridwar organized awareness and educational program under the leadership of Dr. Sangeeta Madan in Government Higher Primary School and Government Higher Secondary School of Village Jamalpur Kalan. This program was organized to spread awareness on issues like cleanliness, environment protection, nutrition, health and prevention from Covid-19. During the program, Dr. Sangeeta Madan said that cleanliness should not only be of the external environment but also of the mind. . He stressed on the use of cloth and paper bags instead of plastic and gave the message of awareness about cleanliness by forming a human chain.
He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and described it as an important step towards realizing Gandhiji’s vision. Dr. Nidhi Handa of the Mathematics Department informed the students about the importance of nutrition and balanced diet. At the same time, Dr. Meenakshi of Rishikul shared information related to health and discussed the importance of Marma Chikitsa.
