Following massive outrage on social media, police took note of the matter and an investigation was initiated.

A woman living in Florida went viral this year telling media outlets that she doesn’t smoke weed or enjoy cold drinks despite her name being “Marijuana Pepsi”. She is identified as a 52-year-old PhD scholar. She got her name from her parents who wanted to give a very unique name to her and establish originality.
Abhinav Arora
The year brought fame to a young spiritual orator named Abhinav Arora after his videos sparked a controversy. Several YouTubers alleged that Abhinav Arora was faking his spiritual narrations. His father Tarun Raj Arora told the media that his 10-year-old son was subject to cyberbullying and relentless trolling. It was also learned that Arora received a death threat.

2024 was undoubtedly a year when people were soaked in the trend featuring Laddu Muthya, a man who could stop a ceiling fan with his bare hands. A Kannada song dedicated to the ‘Fan wale baba’ titled ‘Laddu Muthya Avatara Purusha’ went viral on social media making people aware of Laddu Muthya.

An Indian woman named Yojana Shukla went viral for performing a surf rock on her guitar. The desi guitarist wooed netizens by playing the ‘Pipeline’ song on her instrument. Impressed with her music skills, netizens asked her to throw a concert, which they were ready to attend. She now holds more than 32,000 followers on Instagram.

Remember the ‘Aaj Toh Sunday Hai’ reel? The girl who created this Instagram video went viral across social media platforms in 2024. Identified as Shravani, the young girl was one of those ordinary people who broke the internet this year. Shravani’s ‘Aaj Toh Sunday Hai’ statement was recreated by many netizens, including music composer Yashraj Mukhate and other meme creators.
