A seven-day acting workshop is set to begin in Panvel from May 23, jointly organized by the Panvel Municipal Corporation and the All India Marathi Natya Parishad, Panvel branch. The workshop will take place at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium and aims to offer professional guidance from renowned experts in the theatre and film industry.

“The initiative is designed to provide scientific and structured acting training to local theatre enthusiasts. The workshop is completely free and has been planned in collaboration with the Panvel branch of the Natya Parishad,” said an official.

The inaugural session will be held on May 23 at 3:00 PM in the presence of distinguished guests. The training sessions will run until May 30 and will be conducted in two batches—ages 8 to 16 and 16 to 60—with daily sessions scheduled from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. A total of 60 participants, 30 in each group, will receive training during the camp.

Participants will benefit from the guidance of eminent artists such as Sanjay Haldikar (Solapur), Ravi Dhutmal and Sanket Khedkar (NSD Delhi), and Amol Bhave (Thane), among others. On the final day, a performance by all participants will be presented, showcasing their learning from the workshop.

The concluding ceremony will be held on May 30, where certificates will be awarded to all participants.

Meanwhile, All India Marathi Natya Parishad Vice President and former House Leader Paresh Thakur announced that a similar acting workshop is planned for Kharghar in the near future, following the Panvel event.
