22-year-old French swimmer Leon Marchon achieved a historic feat of winning a total of five medals, four gold and one bronze at the Olympics held at his home in Paris. Marchon won gold medals in the 200 m individual medley, breaststroke and butterfly events at the Paris Olympics, as well as setting new Olympic records in the 400 m individual medley. He became the third swimmer, after Mark Spitz and Michael Phelps, to win four or more individual swimming gold medals at the same Olympics. Yoga Marshon also trained under the guidance of swimming legend Phelps’ coach Bob Bowman. Leon Marchon’s father Xavier has also participated in the Olympics.
