The latest case is of the Kanpur Commissionerate Police, where the Railbazar police grabbed gold worth lakhs of stolen from the thief. The matter reached the police commissioner and when the investigation was done, the police’s handiwork was exposed. Four policemen, including the SHO were suspended on Monday in the case.
Additional Police Commissioner Harish Chander said on Monday that there was a theft in the police station Barra area in the past, in which Barra police was investigating. During the investigation, it was found that the thief sold gold to a bullion merchant in Railbazar area. In contact with the bullion businessman, there were some policemen of Railbazar police station who kept gold with them. A high -level team was formed to investigate these allegations. Prima facie the police station in -charge Railbazar Vijay Darshan Sharma, U.N. (training) Naveen Srivastava, Chief Reserve Subhash Tiwari and Hamil Hafeez have been suspended. Along with this, the criminal act of the above policemen will also be decided in the theft case registered in Barra.

According to the victim, gold worth about 30 lakh rupees has been stolen. On this, the police of South Zone had arrested the thief, revealing the theft incident. When the investigation started for the recovery of the goods, the thief exposed the Railbazar police. The thief said that he was already caught by the Railbazar police. He was released with all the stolen goods. Seeing the big allegation on the police itself, Barra police informed DCP South Ankita Sharma and the matter reached Police Commissioner Akhil Kumar. The Police Commissioner entrusted the responsibility of investigation to DCP South Ankita Sharma and DCP Eastern Shravan Kumar Singh. In the investigation, the thief’s allegations were found to be correct and on Monday, the railway market fell on the police.
