Mumbai: Four workers who climbed into a water tank in a building in Nagpada, South Mumbai died of suffocation. While a worker was found in critical condition. Initially, these workers were reported to be unconscious in the tank, but the fire brigade took out all the five. On the way to the hospital, the doctors on duty declared four people dead. According to fire brigade in this regard, five contract workers were called to clean the water tank at Bismillah space under construction on Dimtimkar Road in Nagpada area of ​​South Mumbai at 12:30 pm today. These people fainted after landing in the tank.

On receiving no response from these people, the people present at the construction site immediately informed the fire brigade. Along with the personnel of the fire department, local police and municipal employees also reached the spot and rescued all five workers. They were taken to the hospital. The doctors on duty here declared four workers dead. Immediate treatment was started when the condition of a worker appeared to be very serious.

The dead include Hasipal Sheikh (19), Raja Sheikh (20), Ziaullah Sheikh (36) and Purhal Sheikh (31). After this incident, J.J. The road police have registered a case of accidentally death and are further investigating. It is also under investigation to find out who called these five to clean the tank and whether they were provided with safety equipment.

According to police sources, further action will be taken based on the investigation of the case. Along with the police, officials of the municipality and fire departments also participated in the investigation of the incident.
