Latehar, 08 July (His). Four accused, who kidnapped and raped two minor girls of Barwadih police station area, have been arrested from Garhwa. The police also freed both the girls from the clutches of the criminals. The arrested accused include Ajay Kesari, Hrithik Kumar, Ashish Kumar and Kunal Kumar. All are residents of Garhwa.
Speaking to reporters on Saturday, SDPO Dilu Lohra said that on June 29, two minor girls living in the Barwadih police station area had gone missing from the house. In this regard, the relatives of the girls had registered a case in the Barwadih police station. The police took the matter very seriously and on the instructions of the SP formed a team and started the investigation.
During investigation, the police got a tip-off that the girls had been abducted by some criminals from Garhwa. Based on the information received, the police raided the identified place. During the raid, the police recovered both the girls from a house. Four people were arrested there. The SDPO said that the accused kidnapped both the minor girls and raped them several times. He told that many other accused are also involved in this incident, identifying whom the police is taking further action.
