Under the able leadership of Praful Patel, Administrator Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, the State Formation Day/Foundation Day celebration of Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura was organized under Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme launched by the Government of India on 21st January 2025 at Collectorate, Daman.
On this occasion, people belonging to Manipur, Meghalaya and Tripura regions residing in Daman District were felicitated with Bouquets, Momentos and Sweets by the Deputy Collector (Gen.), Daman, the people of the Three States also shared their views on culture, tradition, music and heritage of their states.
The Deputy Collector (Gen.), Daman told the guests that India takes pride in its rich history, culture and heritage. The Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme aims to enhance interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of different states and Union Territories.
Further, she expressed that celebrating occasions like this aims to promote sustained and structured cultural connections in areas of language learning, culture, tradition and music, tourism and cuisine, sports, and sharing of best practices and brotherhood among the people of India.
