Former head of the Indian Intelligence Agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), A.S. Dulat has made important remarks about relations between India and Pakistan. He bluntly stated that both countries should start the process of dialogue to move forward. At present, the relations between India and Pakistan are completely cold and no interaction has been happening for years. At such a time, this suggestion of a former intelligence officer matters specially from a diplomatic point of view.

We should move forward and start a conversation with Pakistan. I always say that dialogue is necessary. If there is a dialogue, problems come and there is a possibility of solution.”

After the Pulwama attack in 2019 and the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, there was further bitterness in India and Pakistan relations.
