Salepur: Former Municipal Corporation Mayor, NCP Sharad Pawar Party leader Mahesh Vishnupant Kothe (age 60)of Uttar PradeshHe died in Prayagraj due to a heart attack on Tuesday morning. This created chaos in the city.
Mahesh Kothe and some of his friends had gone to Prayagraj for the Kumbh Mela. He suffered a heart attack while taking bath in Prayagraj on Tuesday morning. His family members told that he died due to this. As soon as the news of Mahesh Kothe’s death was received, a wave of mourning ran in the city. A huge crowd of workers had gathered near Kotha’s house in Murarji Pethe.
Mahesh Kothe was known as a leader who had influence in the politics of Selpur Municipal Corporation. He also served as the head of Padmashali Janati Sanstha. In the assembly elections, he contested from the City North assembly constituency. Leaders of all parties have expressed grief over the demise of a prominent leader of city politics.
