Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, former chief scientist of WHO, said in her post on X, ‘People do not need to panic about this virus. It is an old virus that causes respiratory infections and its cases are not very dangerous. Rather than reporting every pathogen, general precautions should be taken during winter. For this, wear a mask, avoid going to crowded places, wash hands frequently and consult a doctor immediately if you feel serious symptoms.
