T20 World Cup 2024: Relations between coaches and players deteriorated!

Under the coaching of Stuart Law, the American team performed brilliantly in the T20 World Cup last year. The team had confirmed its place in Super-12. At that time America had surprised everyone by defeating Pakistan. Due to which the Pakistani team was eliminated from the World Cup in the first round itself. According to a report, the relationship between the players and the head coach deteriorated after several incidents during the T20 World Cup 2024 and the Netherlands tour.

The players themselves accused the coach

A report has claimed that the players had written a letter. In which he (Stuart Law) was accused of continuously spoiling the atmosphere of the team due to his bad attitude towards some players. The letter further alleged that he has created an atmosphere of distrust among the team members through his lies and deception. His discriminatory treatment of a group of players led to players becoming isolated from each other and morale was significantly low.

Discrimination against players of Indian origin

Apart from this, Law has also been accused in the letter of trying to lie against Captain Monank Patel. Apart from Patel, Indian-origin players like Harmeet Singh and Milind Kumar also faced problems against Low. According to the report, the reason for Law’s dismissal is the allegations of discrimination made by 7-8 senior players. Most of these are of Indian origin.
