India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India (Maruti Suzuki India) has included an Indian employee on his board as a Whole-Time Director for the first time. This honor has been received by Sunil Kakkar, who has been associated with the company for the last 35 years.

Sunil Kakkar is one of the most experienced officers of Maruti Suzuki and currently leading the Corporate Planning Department as Senior Executive Officer. He has been appointed from 1 April 2025 to 31 March 2028.

This is the first time Suzuki Motor Corporation (SMC) has ranked an Indian in-house employee of Maruti Suzuki in the board.
