Food Stall At Karjat Station Shut Down By Central Railway After Passenger Finds ‘Soap’ In Vada Pav | Pinterest

Mumbai: In a shocking incident, a passenger discovered soap in her vada pav at Karjat station. The incident happened on Tuesday, when a commuter was enjoying vada pav in the Karjat Station and found a piece of soap inside it.

It incident took place at V.K. Jain Tea Stall on platform number 2, a popular food shop at the busy Karjat station, which serves snacks like coffee, vada pav, chips, and more. The woman, who resides in Khopoli, pointed out the issue and filed a complaint against it.

She went to the station master to report the incident and file a complaint. The railway authorities have taken the complaint seriously and have closed the stall. The stall was sealed off with a green net cloth at the Karjat Station.

After an official review, the railway administration decided to suspend the stall’s operations while the investigation. In response to the complaint, a railway stated, “The services at the stall have been immediately halted, and its operations will remain suspended until further notice. Strict action will be taken,” as per a report by Midday.

Panvel-Karjat Suburban Corridor Nears Completion

The Panvel-Karjat Suburban Corridor project is near to completion, with 70% of the work already finished. If everything goes according to plan, the project is expected to be completed by December 2025.

An official stated that significant progress is being made in earthwork and the construction of both major and minor bridges, with contracts awarded in two phases. So far, 47 bridges and one Foot Over Bridge (FOB) have been completed, while work continues on 16 more bridges, including flyovers.
