Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Fly Ola company, which operates flights under PM Shree Paryatan Vayu Service, has launched survey in Madhya Pradesh to explore areas from where new flights can commence. Sources in Fly Ola company told Free Press that survey started a month ago to find potential areas for starting new flights. The survey focuses on passenger demand and flight requirement.
“The survey report is likely to be submitted in a week, which will be evaluated and thereafter plan will be made to start new flights,” a senior company official said. The company has carried out survey in Guna and Satna as both places have tourist spots and industrial belt.
Govt gears up
According to a company official, state government has swung into the action after company cancelled its Ujjain flight due to poor basic facilities on Ujjain air strip. As the air strip lacked fencing and a wall, wild animals, blue bull would enter. Now, Public Works Department has started construction of wall and fence work. “We have to cancel operation of Ujjain flight though there was huge demand for Ujjain air service. The reason was that Ujjain air strip lacked basic facilities,” official added.
Current operation
Currently, Fly Ola is operating in Bhopal, Rewa, Singrauli, Khajuraho and Jabalpur. Rewa and Singrauli are getting more passengers in comparison to flights for Khajuraho, Jabalpur.
