Noida International Airport (Nial) being built in Jewar, Noida is set to start flight operations by April 2025. According to officials associated with the case, international flights to Singapore, Dubai and Zurich are being finalized.

Flights to over 30 destinations from April 2025

A senior official of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) said that from 17 April 2025, flights will start to more than 30 destinations at the airport, including:

  • 25 domestic flights
  • Three international flights (Singapore, Dubai, Zurich)
  • Two cargo flights

The official said Nial is negotiating with both domestic and international airlines for regular flight operations. However, the initial stage of international flights will be for only six months, after which the review will be done.

Domestic and International Connectivity

Jewar Airport, which is being developed by Zurich Airport International (Zurich AG), is set to join major domestic cities in India. The airport will initially provide direct flight services from Mumbai, Bengaluru, Lucknow, Hyderabad, Dehradun and Hubli.

At the same time, negotiations on flights to Munich and Brussels are also going on to increase international connectivity.

New roots and licensing process

A senior official said that Nial is discussing with several airlines for additional international routes. However, to finalize these routes:

  • Bilateral licensing agreements will be required between respective countries and airlines.
  • The demand and commercial feasibility of these routes will be assessed.

Airport construction work 80% complete

According to sources, more than 80% of the construction work on the nial terminal was completed by January 2025, and the remaining work is expected to be completed by April 2025.

Nial Nodal Officer Shailendra Bhatia said, “Terminal building work has progressed a lot and the rest of the works are being completed rapidly. As soon as the building is completed, the work of constructing 10 aerobridges will start. ”

April 2025: Noida’s new global gateway

Noida International Airport is going to be one of the largest aviation hub in North India. This will not only provide an additional air travel option to Delhi-NCR, but will also promote trade, tourism and cargo transportation. After the launch of April 2025, Jewar Airport is being planned to connect even more domestic and international destinations.
