Bhopal Shocker: Five-Year-Old Specially-Abled Girl Raped, ₹100 Was Given To Her To Bring Cold Drink | Representative Image
Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A five-year-old specially-abled girl was raped in Awadhpuri police station limit, police said here on Tuesday. The girl was lured for cold drink and Rs 100 was given to bring it.
Police station in-charge Ratan Singh said that the girl and her brother were playing in the covered complex of an under-construction colony. In the campus, families form different areas are camping and they worked as labourers in the construction site.
The victim’s family belongs to Dindori and the accused is a resident of Seoni. They know each other.
On Monday at around 11 pm, children were playing in the campus, as their parents were involved in preparing dinner. Accused Rohit Barman approached the girl, gave Rs 100 and asked her to bring cold drink for her and for himself.
The girl went outside the campus to the shop to bring the drink. The accused reached the gate of the campus and as soon as she returned, he stopped the girl midway.
Parents found the accused in act and saved the victim
The accused asked the girl to come with him, as they did not share the drink. The girl followed the accused. He took her in a dark corner of the under-constructed site. After reaching there, he took out his clothes and undressed the girl also. The accused began to touch her body. The girl got frightened and started weeping. Her parents became alert and rushed to the spot from where the voice was heard. They found the accused in the act and pushed him, saving the girl.
Accused fled, was caught later
Taking advantage of the situation, the accused fled from the spot. The family approached the police and filed a complaint. On Tuesday evening police arrested the accused.
