Madhya Pradesh: Five Shops, Bike Burnt In Divine Valley Fire In Ujjain, Blaze Brought Under Control After 40 Minutes | FPJ

Ujjain (Madhya Pradesh): A number of shops of Divine Valley situated just opposite to the CM Mohan Yadav’s VIP Guest House on Dewas Road caught fire on Monday-Tuesday night. The guard first saw the flames.

He asked for help from passersby. Someone informed the fire brigade. After about 40 minutes, fire fighters reached there and controlled the fire.

Meharbhan, a security guard on night duty in Divine Valley, said that when he reached outside Divine Valley for surveillance at about 3 o’clock, he saw flames coming out of Rajdhani paan shop.

The fire was fierce and was spreading to other shops. He said that people passing by Dewas Road were stopped by waving hands and people nearby were also called. Meanwhile, someone informed the fire brigade about it.

After about 40 minutes, 4 fire tenders reached there and started efforts to extinguish the fire. By then, the fire had taken a horrific form. Apart from Rajdhani paan shop, Mansarovar Ever Fresh, Balaji Tiles and an empty shop also caught fire.

A bike parked in front of the spot also caught fire and reduced to ashes. Everfresh operator Neeraj Lalwani, resident of Mahakal Sindhi Colony, said that the fire might have started due to short-circuiting. The counter, electrical equipment, wiring, etc, of his shop have been burnt.

The fire that started from the paan shop engulfed three nearby shops and became so fierce that it reached the coaching hall on the second floor. However, the front of two shops and the coaching hall came under the grip of the fire, whose boards, etc, have been burnt.

The shop operator said that the shops of Everfresh, tea, paan, etc, located in Divine Valley remain open till 12-1 am. On the fateful day, too, he reached home after closing the shop late at night and got the information about the fire after two hours.
