Indore (Madhya Pradesh): Five people, including a four-month-old baby and two minor boys, were killed in three separate accidents here in a day. In the first incident, three people, including two minor boys, died after a speeding truck-mounted borewell drilling machine collided with their bike under Khudel police station limits on Monday morning. The incident occurred at around 7:30 am on Double Chowki Road. The impact of the smash-up was so severe that all three died on the spot. Angry family members and locals set the boring machine on fire.

According to the police, the deceased were identified as Vishal (22), son of Mukesh, Kunal (17), son of Jitendra and Suryansh (12), son of Anand, all residents of village Shiwni. Their family members said that they were going for a job as they got labour work in Double Chowki. The family got information after people from their village saw the trio lying on the road in a pool of blood. Vishal was married a year ago and his wife is eight months’ pregnant. Kunal was the son of Vishal’s sister while Suryansh was the son of Vishal’s brother. Kunal was the eldest son of his parents and had a younger brother and sister while Suryansh was the eldest child of his parents and had a younger sister.

Mom’s saree gets caught in bike wheel, baby falls on road and dies

A four-month-old baby died and her mother sustained injuries after the woman’s saree got caught in the wheel of her husband’s bike and she fell on the road with the baby. The incident occurred on Indore-Dewas Road under Kshipra police station limits on Sunday afternoon. According to MY police staff, the deceased was identified as Nitya, daughter of Sanju Ahirwar, a resident of Lasudiya Parmar. Sanju said that he was going to Dewas Tekri temple on a bike with his wife and child. Mid-way, his wife Nisha’s saree got entangled in the bike’s wheel, causing both mother and daughter to fall on the road.

The baby suffered a severe head injury. A passerby in a car assisted the couple, taking them to a nearby private hospital. After initial treatment, doctors referred the baby to MY Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. Nitya was the couple’s only child. Sanju said that they had been married for two- and- a- half- years and were taking their daughter to a temple to fulfill a ‘mannat’. Sanju works for a pharmaceutical company in the Lasudia area and has been living in Lasudia Parmar for the past six years. He is originally from Ashoknagar. Nisha also sustained injuries and is undergoing treatment.

Teenager dies after bike rams tractor trolley

A 19-year-old youth died after his bike rammed into a tractor trolley under Tejaji Nagar police station limits on Sunday night. According to the police, the deceased was identified as Sandeep Chowdhary, a resident of Morod. The family members said that Sandeep was a driver and also worked as a painter. The incident occurred at around 9:30 pm at Morod when the tractor trolley’s driver suddenly took a left turn and Sandeep, who was coming from behind, rammed into the vehicle due to low visibility at night. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
