Firozabad, 08 July (Hindustan Times). Tundla police station and SOG team have arrested a miscreant who robbed the couple during the late night encounter on Friday. Two of his accomplices managed to escape. The police have admitted the miscreant injured in the leg to the hospital.
Regional Magistrate Tundla .vesh Kumar told on Saturday that Pradeep Kumar, station in-charge Tundla, along with police station and SOG team were checking near Jarauli cut under Raja’s Taal Chowki area late on Friday night. Meanwhile, the police team signaled to stop a motorcycle, then the miscreants riding on it opened fire on the police team. Firing was done by the police team for self-defense. During the police encounter, the miscreants tried to escape, but in the siege and retaliatory action, one of the miscreants was shot in the leg and fell down injured. The police arrested him in an injured state, while two of his accomplices managed to escape taking advantage of the opportunity. The police immediately admitted the injured scumbag to the hospital for treatment. During interrogation, he has told his name as Dharamveer, a resident of Nagla Bhed in Agra district. Illegal weapons, cartridges, looted cash worth thousands have been recovered from the possession of the accused.
The jurisdictional officer told that the arrested scumbag is the main criminal of the gang. He has given the names of his absconding comp.ons as Rajesh and Karan. On July 5, the accused Dharamveer along with his accomplices carried out the robbery incident with the couple going on a motorcycle. The criminal history of the accused is being inquired. Efforts are being made to arrest the absconding miscreants, soon they will also be arrested.
