A businessman of Punjabi origin was shot in Brampton and Brampton Police has arrested 7 Punjabis in this case. These arrested Punjabis are accused of demanding ransom from a businessman of Indian origin.
Peel Police of Ontario has taken this action in the case of two shootings at the house of a businessman. These youth are accused of firing at the businessman’s house on the night of 30 November and running away. A gun was also recovered from his residence after he was identified with the help of CCTV cameras.
Not only this, these youth opened fire again at the house of the same businessman on January 2. The fortunate thing was that both the times the family members remained safe. In the second shooting, evidence collected by informers made it clear that they were members of the same gang. The arrested Punjabis have been identified as Manpreet Singh, Dilpreet Singh, Harshdeep Singh, Dharampreet Singh, Manpratap Singh, Atmjeet Singh and Arvinderpal Singh.
