Madhya Pradesh: Fire Destroys Raw Material Worth Lakhs In Nut Bolt Unit | File Pic
Sehore (Madhya Pradesh): A fire broke out in Deepak Fasteners Unbrako Limited Nut Bolt Company in Khokhari village on the Indore-Bhopal highway on Saturday, destroying raw material worth lakhs of rupees.
According to official sources, there was no loss of life in the incident, but a column of smoke was seen 10km away from the site. The staffers working in the firm ran for cover.
Six fire engines from Sehore and Ashta were pressed into service to douse the flames. The fire engines had to toil for several hours to wet the flames. The nuts and bolts, made by the factory where 1,800 employees work, are supplied to different states and several countries.
According to reports, the fire erupted in the area close to the oil sector, near which an LPG plant is located. As soon as the fire broke out, the passers-by as well the employees working in the factory ran here and there to save their lives.
Soon after the fire broke out, fire engines from Ashta and other places rushed to the spot. When the fire erupted, a large number of employees were working in the factory, but all of them were safe.
According to eyewitnesses, a column of smoke was seen 10km away from the site where the factory is located. There are farmlands near the factory where the CNG plant is also located, they further said.
