Gwalior (Madhya Pradesh): An FIR has been registered against a woman and her family member for allegedly making objectionable comments on ancient Jain statues at the Gwalior Fort while filming an Instagram reel. The video, which recently surfaced on social media, shows a young woman and her companion sitting on the lap of damaged Jain Tirthankara statues while wearing shoes and using objectionable language.

The statues, located at the base of Gwalior Fort, were partially destroyed during the Mughal era under Emperor Aurangzeb. The video sparked outrage among members of the Jain community, who submitted a memorandum to Gwalior SSP demanding strict action against the accused.
