Itanagar/New Delhi, 01 October (HIST). Union Finance and Corporate Affairs Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday asked the Arunachal Pradesh government to adopt ‘cluster’ development approach to enhance productivity and competitiveness as well as capacity building of micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the state.

Nirmala Sitharaman said this while addressing the people in the presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Deputy Chief Minister Chauna Mein during a credit outreach program org.zed in Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. He said at a credit access program by State Bank of India (SBI) that till date there is not even a single industrial ‘cluster’ declared by the MSME Ministry in Arunachal Pradesh.

Finance Minister Sitharaman said that I request Chief Minister Pema Khandu to adopt ‘cluster’ development approach for 20 GI-marked products in the state. He said such ‘clusters’ at smaller places can be declared by the ministry. Small Industrial Development Bank of India (SIDBI) can be roped in to finance such enterprises.

He handed over an ambulance and a dead body vehicle to the police headquarters here under the CSR program org.zed by State Bank in collaboration with NABARD, SIDBI and PNB. Along with this, 50 bicycles donated by SBI were also given to the girl students. Along with this, the Union Finance Minister distributed approval letters from banks and loan amount of Rs 14.41 crore to 160 beneficiaries under various schemes of the Central Government.
