Ahmedabad: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has increased the limit for MSME, which is the heart of New India, while presenting the budget of FY 2025-26. The government has increased the scope of MSME to Rs 500 crore. According to the budget announcement, Rs. Enterprises with turnover up to Rs 500 crore will now be considered as MSME.

Amending the definition of MSME, the Finance Minister said in the budget speech that the government wants to provide wide opportunities to MSME, so new classification norms have been announced in the budget. The minister said that the investment limit for MSME classification has been announced by 2.5 times, while the turnover limit for MSME classification has been doubled.

The Finance Minister believes that with the development of MSME, the country will grow rapidly and the trust of employment will increase in the youth.

According to the revised investment criteria in the budget, the investment limit for micro enterprises has been increased from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 15 lakh. Out of one crore, Rs. 2.5 crore rupees, current for small enterprises. Out of 10 crores, Rs. Rs 25 crore and current for medium industries Rs. Out of 50 crores, Rs. It has been decided to spend Rs 125 crore on this.
