Mumbai – A new controversy has arisen between Abhishek and Abhinandan Lodha, the sons of Maharashtra BJP’s Skills and Employment and Builder Mangal Prabhat Lodha. Earlier, there was a conflict between the two over the use of Lodha trademark. Macrotech Developers, run by Abhishek Lodha, have alleged that his younger brother Abhinandan’s company has cheated and forgery using fake documents to misuse the company’s brand. However, Abhinandan’s company has denied the allegations.
According to the allegations made by the Macrotech company to the stock exchanges, the ‘House of Abhinandan Lodha’ Company (HOABL) has conspired to misuse the company’s credibility, brand and registered trademarks. The board of Macrotech studied the relevant documents in its meeting on Wednesday and paid serious attention to the conspiracies. A special committee of the board has been formed to take appropriate legal action. Abhishek has requested the board not to make him a member of this special committee.
According to the allegations of the Macrotech Company, HOABL companies submitted the fake board proposals of the Macrotech Company to government officials. HOABL submitted a fake board proposal, stating ‘no objections’ on the use of trademarks. According to Macrotech, in fact, the board did not meet on the date mentioned in the board’s proposals and the board neither discussed any such proposal (no objection was written) nor approved any such proposal. Macrotech said that such proposals presented to various government competent authorities also included fake signatures of independent directors of Macrotech and the ‘PAN’ card of independent director Ashwini Kumar was also tampered with by adding photos and fake signatures to the ‘PAN’ card. It is noteworthy that Ashwini Kumar Dena is a former chairman and managing director of Dena Bank.
The four companies whose names are in controversy include Lodha Landbuild Infrastructure, Lodha Land Construction, Lodha Land Design and Lodha Pictorials Land Infra. There has been a special controversy over the name of Lodha Land Build Infra, a company formed to develop a plot in Goa.
The board of at least two companies of HOABL had approved the converting its corporate name into ‘Lodha’ and obtained permission from the concerned government officials to convert the old name into a new name using the above documents.
Macrotech developers, who sell properties under the ‘Lodha’ brand, is a leading real estate company, while Achobal develops residential plots in major cities.
Meanwhile, the HOABL company in a statement denied any concoction and fraud allegations. A spokesman for Lodha Ventures said that we are receiving internal information in the matter and will later give detailed reactions.
