Dhaka: A serious incident has taken place in Bangladesh, surrounded by political uncertainty. There have been reports of a terrorist attack on the Cox Bazaar at the southeastern end of Bangladesh. Bangladesh’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has issued this information by issuing a statement. 6 people were also reported injured in this incident.
According to the information received, some terrorists attacked the Air Force base near Pada, a suburb of Kokra Bazar. The attack took place when tension was increasing between the local people and the Air Force personnel due to some reason. In this regard, the people of the committee Pada say that the Air Force personnel asked them to leave the area and go to the Khrushchul residential project, causing a fight. This made the citizens angry and started attacking the Air Force Station, behaving like terrorists. Angered by this, the air force personnel started firing. As a result 6 people were injured.
After this incident, tension has increased considerably and security forces have laid siege to the entire area and have banned the movement of people and vehicles.
This is the first terrorist incident during the Yunus government’s tenure.
Cox Bazar is an Indian Air Force base located on the Bay of Bengal. It is also a famous tourist destination.
