Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The auto expo at the Global Investors Summit on Monday attracted large crowds, showcasing a stunning line-up of super cars, super bikes and armoured vehicles, captivating visitors with their power, luxury and innovation. One of the standout attractions was the Ferrari 448-GTB, which can accelerate to 100 km/h in just three seconds and has a top speed of 330 km/h, drawing considerable attention from the audience.
Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also took part in the event, boarding an armed vehicle to learn more about its power and specifications. The ‘Mine Protected Vehicle 6X6,’ developed at the Jabalpur Vehicle Factory, was another highlight. Designed with a V-shaped hull for optimal mine blast resistance, the vehicle is equipped with blast-attenuating seats and five-point seat belts, ensuring maximum safety for all crew members in case of a blast.
The MP Mobility Expo, held as part of GIS-2025, focused on showcasing the state’s progress in automotive sector, with an emphasis on sustainability and innovation. The expo highlighted state’s growing prominence in the automotive industry, with special attention on electric vehicles and green technologies. Known as the “Detroit of India,” Pithampur is an industrial hub to several original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). The region also houses one of Asia’s largest National Automotive Test Tracks, which provides cutting-edge facilities for research, development, testing, and certification for the automotive and auto component industries.
The vehicles displayed at the expo are a major draw, including high-end models such as the Ford Mustang GT, Lamborghini Urus, Porsche 987 Boxster 5, Audi RS5, and BMW M340i. These cars, renowned for their luxury and performance, can reach speed of 100 km/h in just 3 to 4.46 seconds. Among the super bikes on display are the BMW S1000 RR and Ducati models, both capable of reaching 100 km/h in just 7 seconds. Delegates, from top-level to young executives, were seen engaging with the vehicles, with many even taking selfies alongside their favourite super cars and bikes.
