Sheopur (Madhya Pradesh): Female Cheetah Jwala and her four cubs, wandered out of Kuno National Park in Madhya Pradesh on Monday. The incident was captured in a video, which is circulating widely on social media.

According to information, the cheetahs had been released into the open forest a month ago, and on Saturday evening, they left the park’s boundaries for the first time.
By Sunday afternoon, they had returned to the park but later ventured out again. That night, villagers spotted them near Shyampur village in Veerpur Tehsil, just a kilometer away from a railway track under construction.
On Monday morning, the cheetahs reached the Kuno River and rested under a railway bridge. As word spread, a crowd gathered to watch them. The situation escalated when Jwala and her cubs attacked a cow. In response, the villagers chased them away using sticks and threw stones at them.
Despite the forest department’s rescue team urging them to stay away, the villagers did not listen.
After being hit, Jwala released the cow and ran away with her cubs. Later in the morning, the cheetahs moved toward the Tiliderra area of Veerpur. Forest officials and local conservation volunteers have been educating villagers about cheetahs, urging them not to harm the animals, as they do not attack humans.
As soon as the villagers noticed the cheetahs, they gathered in large numbers, some out of curiosity and others in fear, calling out to one another and rushing to get a closer look.
Forest officials were informed, and a rescue team was immediately dispatched to track the animal.
Experts believe the cheetahs may have strayed from its usual territory while hunting or exploring new areas.
Authorities are currently monitoring the situation and working on guiding the animal safely back to the park.
