Actor Aasif Sheikh, known for his portrayal of Vibhuti Narayan Mishra in the hit television serial Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, recently collapsed on the sets of the show in Dehradun. Reportedly, he was shooting an intense fight sequence when the incident occurred and was immediately rushed to the hospital. Now, the 60-year-old actor has issued a statement regarding his health, revealing that he was brought to Mumbai in a wheelchair from Dehradun.
Aasif said, “I started feeling numbness in my foot and then sciatica pain made the situation worse.” Further, he added, “I was brought on a wheelchair to Mumbai and now I have been advised a complete bed rest. I landed here on the 18th and since then I am taking rest and my treatment is on. I think for one more week I will take a rest and hope i will be soon in front of the camera.”

Aasif made his Hindi film debut with Rama O Rama in 1988, where he starred opposite Raj Babbar, Kimi Katkar in lead role. The film was directed and produced by Mirza Brothers.
Later, he starred in several movies including Karan Arjun, Ek Phool Teen Kante, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Dil Ne Jise Apna Kaha, Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, Bharat, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, among others.
