Jabalpur Shocker: Seven Dogs Poisoned To Death In Jabalpur, Locals File Complaint Against Suspect | FPJ
Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh): A heartbreaking incident was reported in Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, where some residents allegedly poisoned seven dogs. The families, apparently, were fed up of the constant barking and littering of the dogs.
This horrendous act reportedly took place on the night before Holi when seven street dogs, including two puppies, were found dead in Mohit Residency of Tilhari.
Complaints filed by dog lovers
The incident came to light on Wednesday, when some dog lovers approached Gorabazar police station and filed a complaint. They alleged that the accused fed the poison-laced food to the dogs to get rid of the them.
Poisoned over dog’s barking
According to local dog lover Sneha Singh, who filed the complaint, the poisoning was a result of ongoing disputes involving the dogs’ barking and littering.
Singh further stated that those dogs were completely harmless and innocent, and their deaths could have been prevented.
To prove her allegations, Singh provided the cops with evidence from the society’s WhatsApp group’s conversation. The conversation clearly suggested that individuals were plotting to kill the dogs by poisoning them. The accused include four residents of the apartment: Ajit Uike, Rana Khan, Ajit Rajput, and Avinash Jaiswal.
Animal lovers demand post-mortem to expose truth
The complainant and other dog lovers in the apartment have sternly demanded a post-mortem of the dogs, so that the exact cause of the death can be revealed.
This incident triggered many debates and questions not only about animal cruelty but also about humanity.
The residents of the colony and the surrounding area raised objection against the inhumane treatment, saying there were several better ways like seeking municipal corporation’s help, to get handle the situation
Considering the seriousness of the incident, the Jabalpur police have started questioning the families of the suspects. Additional SP Suryakant Sharma said that if the allegations are found to be true, a case will be registered under the Animal Cruelty Act.
Police are also probing whether other people were also involved in the conspiracy. Additionally, all the puppies will be taken out and their post-mortem will be done.
