News India Live, Digital Desk: Due to increasing tension with India, the local administration has asked people to deposit two months of ration and essential items for fear of war in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (PoK). PoK Prime Minister Chaudhary Anwar ul Haq said in the local assembly that instructions have been issued to stock food, medicines and other essential goods for at least two months in 13 constituencies adjoining the Line of Control (LoC). For this, the regional government has also created an emergency fund of about one billion Pakistani rupees ($ 3.5 million).
The Prime Minister of PoK also said that government and private machinery is being prepared to repair roads, so that fast movement can be ensured if needed.
Meanwhile, more than 1000 madrasas present in PoK have been closed for at least ten days. This step has been taken by India for fear of possible military action. India has long been alleged to have used madrasas in PoK to promote terrorist activities and to shelter terrorists.
Significantly, 26 people were killed in the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, after which tension between India and Pakistan is at its peak. The responsibility of this attack was taken by TRF, an associate group of the banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba. Earlier, after the Uri attack in 2016, India entered PoK and carried out a surgical strike. In such a situation, Pakistan is now afraid of similar action again.
