Father lives deceased son’s dream by walking the ramp as fashion model in Delhi | Naveenn Kaamboj

You might have heard stories of kids taking inspiration from their parents and wanting to become like them. In a recent case, a father ensured to become what his son wanted to be. Noting that his son dreamt about being a model and actor some day, but died before achieving it, his 53-year-old stood strong to fulfil the son’s wish.

53-year-old turns fashion model to fulfil son’s dream

Naveenn Kaamboj, 53, turned into a model and walked the ramp in 2024 living the dream of his son. The father represented as a fashion model under Dinesh Mohan’s brand DMASK at the Couture Runway Week™ in Delhi last month.

“This is for you, my son, my superstar in heaven”

Feeling proud about being able to turn his son’s dream into a reality, Naveenn shared visuals from his walk on social media and wrote, “This one is for you, my son, my superstar in heaven”.

“Karan, my beloved son, passed away at the tender age of 18 in a tragic and unforeseen incident. He dreamt of becoming a professional football player, while I often imagined him shining as a model, a true showstopper in the fashion world. When Karan left us, it felt impossible to bring those dreams to life…That’s when a miracle happened”, the father wrote while expressing gratitude to Dinesh Mohan for mentoring him to walk the ramp.

Naveenn’s journey to become a fashion model wasn’t easy. He went through a transformation—physically, emotionally, and mentally. He earlier weighed 100kgs, but became fit to live Karan’s dream.

“At my age, pursuing a football career was out of the question. So, I chose to walk the ramp as a fashion model, stepping into the world I had once envisioned for him”, Naveenn revealed.
