Balrampur, 14 November (HS). Amidst the rapidly rising prices of petrol, if you find an e-cycle that can cover a distance of 100 kilometers in just Rs 20, then you will not believe it. But this has been done by Shridam Haldar, a farmer of Krishna Nagar village of Balrampur district. With his tricks he has defeated even educated engineers. Haldar experimented with old motorcycle parts and made an electric bicycle on his own.
Shridam Haldar has become a topic of discussion in the entire city due to his invention. When he goes out to the market with his bicycle, there is a crowd of people watching. In the coming time, he wants to make more such e-cycles for the people.
E-cycle gives a mileage of 100 after spending Rs 20 on electricity.
Shridam Haldar created an e-cycle by combining the parts of an old motorcycle which has 4 batteries, a BLDC motor, a controller and all other motorcycle parts. In which 3 people can sit comfortably and cover a distance of several kilometers at a speed of 40-50. It takes 4 hours to charge the bicycle. A distance of 100 kilometers can be covered by spending only Rs 20 in electricity. Haldar has become a topic of discussion among the people by making an e-cycle for Rs 60 thousand.
The idea came after seeing the e-rickshaw
When Shridam Haldar went to his in-laws’ house in Kolkata, he saw an e-rickshaw for the first time and since then he was thinking of making something like this. So that we can get relief from the rising prices of petrol and diesel in the era of inflation. After serving in the police, he now cultivates maize, tomato, potato and watermelon in about 40 acres in Ramanujganj. One has to travel 30 km every day from Balrampur to Ramanujganj. Due to shortage of money, the dream of making an e-cycle remained just a dream. After which, after profiting from the maize crop, he made an e-cycle by assembling old motorcycle parts.
In a special conversation with our correspondent, Shridam Haldar said that, when e-rickshaw was launched, I thought that if we convert the power of e-rickshaw into two wheels, then we can travel comfortably in the hilly areas. I have made this e-cycle to travel here and there from the village. No matter what kind of slope it is, it climbs like butter. Gives a mileage of 100 kilometers after a single charge. The battery gets full in 4 hours after spending 3-4 units of electricity in charging.
