Mumbai: In recent times, there are increasing complaints in Bollywood that big production houses are releasing wrong booking and collection figures to call their films a hit. Now according to a trade analyst, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sky Force’ and Vicky Kaushal’s upcoming film ‘Chhava’ also have similar manipulation in the name of booking data.
According to the allegations, the earnings of ‘Sky Force’ have been barely half with the earnings shown by the manufacturers.
According to trade analysts, the price of a ticket in ‘Sky Force’ was shown to be Rs 300, but it was not given a discount of Rs 250. The booking figures of the film were given based on the price of Rs 300, but in fact, theater operators earned less than the estimated revenue.
Apart from this, large -scale block booking was also done in ‘Sky Force’. The 260 ticket manufacturer himself booked for the auditorium with a capacity of 300 viewers. So when the audience checked the ticket booking app, they saw only 40 tickets available. In this way, the film was advertised to be houseful, but in reality the audience who went inside the auditorium came to know that most of the seats remained vacant.
It is noteworthy that Karan Johar has also tried the trick to show incorrect income in the name of block booking and corporate booking. He tried to call Alia Bhatt’s film ‘Jigra’ wrongly. At that time, Divya Khosla, wife and actress of Bhushan Kumar of T-series, revealed the earnings of ‘Jigra’ through social media posts.
