The Shiv Sena (UBT) mouthpiece ‘Saamana’ has praised Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in his editorial and appreciated his efforts to bring discipline and transparency in the state. However, on the pretext, the party has made serious allegations of corruption against Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and his previous government.

The editorial claims that corruption in Maharashtra was at its peak in the last three years, which led to the pollution of the state. But now Chief Minister Fadnavis has taken strict steps and has taken the initiative to clean this dirt.

Shinde government charges of corruption

According to ‘Saamana’, economic irregularities during the Shinde government took a formidable form. It has also been said in the editorial that Chief Minister Fadnavis has taken away the right to appoint his PA and OSD from Shinde’s ministers, curbing corruption.

It is written in editorial:

“16 people in the ministry were brokerage and fixing by becoming OSD, but Fadnavis has started cleaning all these and started cleaning.”

Apart from this, raising the tender of Rs 500 crore to Rs 3000 crore, taking out thousands of crores of rupees before the commencement of work and including close to the leaders in the scams – all these allegations have been leveled against the Shinde government.

Referring to Prime Minister Modi’s anti -corruption policy

Editorial mentions the announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in which he said:

“Just tell me the names of those who eat money, I will straighten everyone.”

‘Saamana’ has written that Chief Minister Fadnavis will not have any objection to Prime Minister Modi and named Shinde and his ‘fixers’. The editorial alleged that Rs 25,000 crore was taken as a brokerage in the Rs 90,000 crore schemes in the Shinde government.

No relief from Amit Shah

The editorial said that Shinde also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah with his complaint, but there he also felt disappointed because the Center’s role is to eradicate corruption, not to protect him.
