New Delhi: Companies that have exported goods from Special Economic Area (SEZ) and Export oriented Units (EOUs) till February 5 this year can claim benefits under the fees and taxes on exported products (RODTEP) scheme.

Earlier, the government had fixed the last date for claims on December 31, 2024. Under the said scheme, the fees, taxes and fees levied by the states and the Center on input products and others are returned to exporters.

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade said in a notification that assistance under the RODTEP scheme has been extended till 5 February under the RODTEP scheme for exports manufactured in advance authority, SEZ and export oriented units.

However, it has also been clarified that the exports after February 6 will not be eligible for these benefits. Benefits under this scheme will be available till 30 September for units of other categories ie local tariff areas (outside SEZ).
