There was a major explosion at the Peace Committee office in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday. 7 people have died and 9 people have been injured in this powerful bomb blast. The blast occurred in the office of the local peace committee at Wana, headquarters of Southern Waziristan district. However, no group has taken responsibility for the explosion yet.
Rescue operations started for injured injured in debris
The explosion was so powerful that the office building also collapsed and many people were buried under the rubble. On receiving information about the incident, rescue teams and locals reached the spot and started the work of evacuating the injured from the rubble. Meanwhile, Pakistani security forces took action on Monday and killed 17 other fighters from Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan. With this, the number of fighters killed in the last three days has increased to 71. The operation was carried out in North Waziristan.
